The Centre for Humanitarian Leadership (CHL) and Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies (CHS) are delighted to announce a USD $25,000 grant from the Gates Foundation to help deliver the 2025 Humanitarian Leadership Conference (HLC).
CHL Director and HLC Co-Convenor Mary Ana McGlasson says the foundation’s support will allow more local leaders to attend the HLC and enhances the event’s commitment to centre local voices.
We’ve seen great demand for scholarship so that local leaders can attend the HLC, so this grant from the Gates Foundation will allow us to reach more local leaders who otherwise couldn’t afford to attend,” Mary Ana says.
CHS Director and HLC Co-Convenor Ghassan Elkahlout says the grant will ensure that the event has a positive impact.
“Today, more than ever, it’s important that we come together to discuss a new way forward for the humanitarian sector. At CHS we look forward to hosting the critical discussions that will take place at the 2025 HLC.”
The 2025 HLC: Transformative leadership in times of polycrisis will take place in Doha, Qatar from April 8-9 and online via the Cvent platform.
The HLC is organised by the CHL in partnership with CHS. It will be first time the biennial event has been held outside Melbourne, Australia.
