The Centre for Humanitarian Leadership and the Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies (CHS) are delighted to announce the Irene M. Staehelin (IMS) Foundation is a major sponsor of the Humanitarian Leadership Conference (HLC).
The IMS Foundation has provided a generous grant to help cover travel and registration costs for local leaders, including Pledge for Change, to attend the HLC in support of the event’s aim to be an inclusive and accessible convening for all humanitarians.
The IMS Foundation, established in 2020, aims to fulfil the vision of its benefactor, Irène M. Staehelin-Schindler by addressing global challenges and enhancing the lives of those in greatest need.
Our sector—and the world—is facing an unprecedented convergence of crises. Now, more than ever, it is important to come together to stand in solidarity. Only through local leadership—the first to respond and the last to leave—can we truly turn these challenges into opportunities and build a more equitable, peaceful, and dignified future for all.” Gloria Doñate, Head of Humanitarian Aid at the IMS Foundation
The 2025 HLC: Transformative Leadership in Times of Polycrisis will take place in Doha, Qatar from April 8-9 and online via the Cvent platform.
The HLC is organised by the Centre for Humanitarian Leadership in partnership with the Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies. It will be first time the biennial event has been held outside Melbourne, Australia.
The IMS Foundation joins the Gates Foundation as a sponsor of the HLC. Qatar Airways is the official airline sponsor of the HLC for air travel to and from Doha.
