The Graduate Certificate of Humanitarian Leadership Longitudinal Study Report aims to deepen understanding of how the Graduate Certificate of Humanitarian Leadership has impacted graduates, and inform the continuous improvement and evolution of the course. It was designed to assess the extent to which Graduate Certificate of Humanitarian Leadership graduates have been able to apply the knowledge and skills gained from the course in their workplaces, and how the course has impacted their career pathways.

Specifically, the study explored:
- How relevant do students feel the Graduate Certificate of Humanitarian Leadership course content was for them?
- What have been the enablers and barriers to students applying Graduate Certificate of Humanitarian Leadership learning in their workplace?
- Have the relationships established through the course, including with the Graduate Certificate of Humanitarian Leadership faculty, had any impact on students’ professional pathways/choices?
The Graduate Certificate of Humanitarian Leadership is an accredited tertiary postgraduate course delivered by Deakin University through the Centre for Humanitarian Leadership in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. The course was launched as a formal collaboration between Save the Children Australia and Deakin University Faculty of Arts and Education, and is also funded by the IKEA Foundation.
