The Centre's unique courses equip students with the practical skills and experience to make a difference in the humanitarian sector. These are some of their stories.

Making moves to lead refugee responses in the Middle East.

Samia currently works as a Logistics Manager in Jordan, assisting in the Syrian refugee response. It’s her third international assignment after roles in Iraq and Yemen, and a huge opportunity to provide more effective aid by using skills learned in the Humanitarian Leadership Program.

Transferring skills from tourism and policy to humanitarian aid.

Working as a tour leader in remote areas of sub-Saharan Africa, Siobhan frequently witnessed the provision of humanitarian aid in developing communities. It wasn't until halfway through the Master of Humanitarian Assistance that Siobhan realised her unique set of skills—accrued through roles in tourism and public service—perfectly equipped her to improve aid provision around the world.
