Introduction to mentoring workshop for humanitarians and crisis responders
Our mentoring workshops are designed for those currently working in humanitarian aid or crisis response who wish to build their knowledge and skills as a mentor.
Who we teach
Humanitarian-specific training
Designed specifically with the humanitarian sector in mind, this practical program will enable participants to fully understand their role as a mentor.
Participants will build self-awareness as well as their core mentoring skills, capabilities, and mindset to enable them to bring the most to their mentoring relationships as they support and engage with colleagues in a crisis context.

Each of the program’s three workshops will run on consecutive days and will comprise the following areas of focus:
- The foundations of mentoring: introduction to mentoring and fellow mentors, the role of the mentor, core skills
- Starting for success: the mentoring process, building trust, coaching skills, do’s and dont’s
- The building blocks: giving feedback, managing the unexpected, closing the mentoring relationship
