Petra Helal (she/her) is the Crisis Leadership Program Coordinator with more than five years of experience in project management and partnerships across global, regional and local levels.
Petra holds a dual degree in Economics and Political Science and International Affairs. Working in diverse organisations including UNICEF, Mercy Corps and Plan International, Petra has supported multiple interventions in both humanitarian and development contexts, with a focus on the Ukraine crisis and the MENA region. Throughout her career, Petra has lead on development and nurturing of partnerships, programme strategies and frameworks, capacity development and equitable partnerships, localised humanitarian responses in addition to managing national and global-wide projects and engagements.
In her current capacity, Petra is responsible to ensure the smooth running of the Crisis Leadership Program courses (Seed, Grow and Extend) including liaising with colleagues on course marketing and set-up, participants course application, selection, course delivery and post-delivery reviews.
