Master of Humanitarian Assistance
The Master of Humanitarian Assistance (MHA) provides the opportunity for those working in, or wishing to work in, the humanitarian sector to gain an industry-relevant, formal qualification.
The MHA at Deakin University is the first course of its kind in the Asia Pacific region. Combining theory and practice, the course is delivered using interactive online education (cloud learning) and intensive, residential, practice-based units. This, combined with action-based research in the field, will enable you to be an effective and highly skilled worker in the sector, both in Australia and internationally.
Drawing on the Centre’s organisational partnerships, you will have access to humanitarian experts, leaders, thinkers and researchers from around the world. You will also be able to capitalise on the Centre’s strong partnerships with relevant international non-government organisations (NGOs), United Nations agencies, other locally-based NGOs, government agencies such as Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and other relevant participants in the sector.
Graduates are awarded a Master of Humanitarian Assistance from Deakin University. More information about the MHA can be found at deakin.edu.au/humanitarian-assistance .
